We spent a few recent afternoons in Queens; specifically in Long Island City, Astoria and Forest Hills. Some bars we visited, among others, included Open Door LIC, Singlecut Beer Brewery in Astoria and The Flying Pig in Forest Hills. All are worth visits and we’d look forward to returning to them. Over in Brooklyn, we recently visited Lake Street in Greenpoint and Pine Box Rock Shop in Williamsburg. Reviews of some of these spots forthcoming.

Happy Birthday to New York State!
It was 225 years ago on this date that New York State ratified the United States Constitution, becoming the 11th state to join the Union. It’s a great day to drink some New York State beer and eat some New York State food. A great beer bar today would be Little Town NYC in Union Square, which focuses on local beer and food. It’s also a great day for a NYC pub crawl!

In Manhattan, we had the pleasure of visiting The Bar Room (at 117 East 60th Street), Sel Rrose (1 Delancey Street) and Eastwood (221 East Broadway), among others. Over in Brooklyn, we hit the Park Slope locations of Terroir and Beauty Bar; in Carroll Gardens, we went to Lavendar Lake. Reviews of some forthcoming. In short, we had a good time at all of them and their definitely worth a visit.
Happy Independence Day!
Happy 237th Birthday to the good ol’ USA! Pub Crawl Brooklyn wishes you a safe and happy July 4th.
Happy Canada Day!
We wish we could recommend some spots for a Canada-themed NYC bar crawl; alas, there are not many, if any, such spots in NYC. If you know of such a spot, please drop us a comment.

In Manhattan, we finally got to Eastwood and Beverly’s, both on the Lower East Side. In Brooklyn, we found ourselves in Clinton Hill and visited Brooklyn Tap House and Emerson’s, two solid spots. Reviews forthcoming.
Happy Flag Day!
Here are a few spots to hit for a Flag Day NYC bar crawl:
Fraunces Tavern, 54 Pearl Street in Manhattan’s Financial District. George Washington hung out here.
Loopy Doopy, rooftop bar atop Conrad Hotel in Battery Park City. Great view of Statue of Liberty and the relatively late sunset.
Pete’s Tavern, 18th Street & Irving Place in Manhattan’s Gramercy section. Among the oldest bars in Manhattan
