We recently had the opportunity to do some NYC pub crawling in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. It’s always a good time bar hopping through that neighborhood. We visited some recently-opened spots such as The Rochard and Charc Bar, among others. In the coming days, we will share some brief thoughts on those spots and others.

East Village NYC Cocktail crawl?
We came across a story on supercall.com concerning a cocktail bar crawl in NYC. Working from west to east, their route of the recommended NYC cocktail bar crawl targets nine spots in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village, East Village and Alphabet City. Over the course of numerous years of NYC pub crawling, we’ve visited all nine spots on this route at least once. We think the route and the bars that Supercall picked are solid, but, due to opening/closing times of each spot, it’s rather unlikely that you can reach all nine spots in one day. Supercall acknowledges such and suggests skipping a spot or two. We look forward to reviewing Supercall’s next suggested NYC bar crawl route.

December 5 marks the 84th anniversary of the end of Prohibition in the United States
December 5, 2017 marks the 84th anniversary of the end of U.S. Prohibition. On this date in 1933, Utah became the 36th U.S. state to ratify the 21st Amendment to the United States Constitution (achieving the required 75% of states to approve the amendment). This ratification overturned the 18th Amendment, which outlawed alcohol in the United States. So, how will you be marking the anniversary today, with a pub crawl in NYC perhaps? Leave us a comment below to let us know!
