Memorial Day weekend just may be our favorite weekend of the year here at Pub Crawl NYC.  Sometimes, the weekend is an opportunity for a quick trip out of town; other times, it’s great to stick around town and go on a NYC bar crawl or three.  As the weekend marks the unofficial beginning of summer, the weather almost always delivers (this weekend is looking good).  It was on this weekend long ago that we participated in our very first bar crawl and we’ve been a big fan of bar crawls ever since!  So, whether you’re staying in town or traveling for the long weekend, have a great time, stay safe and happy pub crawling!

We enjoyed our recent visits to some newly opened spots in Midtown and the Upper East Side.  Among others, Merchants’ Gate near (or more accurately, below) Columbus Circle and Workshop on the Upper East Side.  We’ll share our brief thoughts on these two establishments in the coming days.

We recently had the opportunity to visit a few newly-opened bars below 14th Street in Manhattan.  Among others, Lena Wine Bar on West 8th Street and Last Light on the Bowery.  We’ll share our brief thoughts on these two spots in the days ahead.

It was 86 years ago today that the first part of repeal of Prohibition took place, making beer legal again in the United States.  How will you mark the occasion?
