Our favorite non-holiday random calendar day of the year! The arrival of the First Saturday of March is very meaningful to us at Pub Crawl NYC. Though the calendar still says winter, March marks the end of the super-cold, long, dark winter months of December, January and February. Spring (and good pub crawling weather) is just ahead.

New NYC Bar Alert! Located at 22 West 46th Street, St. Patrick’s Pub opened for business in mid-September. After we have a chance to visit St. Patrick’s Pub, we will provide a brief review.
Here’s a NYC bar crawl with an Octoberfest theme for Saturday, September 19. Ulyssses is sponsoring their annual Octoberfest on Stone Street in Manhattan’s Financial District. A recent New York Daily News article (http://dld.bz/dN75H) informs of the forthcoming closing of business of the bar Hogs & Heifers. It’s a bar from a bygone era, back when the Meatpacking District actually had some meat packing activity. We’re surprised that the bar wasn’t forced out of business due to rising rent prior to 2015. RIP, Hogs & Heifers, you will be missed.
Stout NYC has recently opened its third location; this one at 60 East 41st Street in Midtown Manhattan, just one block south of the main entrance to Grand Central Terminal. A review of this third location of the Stout NYC empire forthcoming in this space.
