Happy National Beer Day 2020!
It was 87 years ago today that the first part of repeal of Prohibition took place, making beer legal again in the United States. How will you mark the occasion?
Happy Tartan Day 2020!
How will you celebrate Scottish Pride today? We wish we could visit one of Manhattan’s Caledonia Pub locations today. Alas, due to the coronavirus pandemic, such a visit will not be possible.
Happy Vernal Equinox 2020!
On this first full day of Spring, our NYC Bar of the Day: Spring Lounge, located at 48 Spring Street in Manhattan’s Little Italy. Although, in light of COVID-19, it’s unlikely that Spring Lounge will be open today or anytime in the near future. This is a distressing time.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day 2020!
In normal times, we would have loved to recommend a pub crawl for today. But, in light of the spread of COVID-19, these are not normal times. Please stay safe, wash your hands regularly and heed the safety announcements of your local authorities.

A review of Beer Street South in Brooklyn’s Prospect Heights
Located at 550 Vanderbilt Ave in Brooklyn’s Prospect Heights, Beer Street South is the second location of the Beer Street empire (their first location resides in Williamsburg). Beer Street South offers 17 beer taps plus a few draught ciders and wines. This location is a lot more spacious than the Williamsburg one. Based on our recent weekend afternoon visit, Beer Street South is kid-friendly too.

We recently pub crawled through Brooklyn’s Prospect Heights neighborhood and visited such spots as Beer Street South and Bar Meridian. We’ll share some brief thoughts on these and other establishments from this particular NYC bar crawl in the coming days.
Happy First Saturday of March!
Our favorite non-holiday random calendar day of the year! The arrival of the First Saturday of March is very meaningful to us at Pub Crawl NYC. Though the calendar still says winter, March marks the end of the super-cold, long, dark winter months of December, January and February. Spring (and good pub crawling weather) is just ahead.
And, if you’re looking for a pub crawl for today, the annual Hoboken, NJ St. Patrick’s bar crawl takes place today. More info here.
