Our New Year’s Resolution: more NYC pub crawls!
Our favorite Manhattan bar opening of 2022
Highwater Rooftop is perched atop the recently-opened Hotel Indigo at 120 Water Street in Manhattan’s Financial District. The Highwater Rooftop is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. Cocktails and wine are the focus here. The bi-level space has two small indoor spaces on the lower level and, up two flights of stairs, is a slightly larger outdoor area.
We look forward to visiting many new bar openings around NYC’s five boroughs in 2023!
Our favorite Brooklyn bar opening of 2022
Vacations bar is a rooftop bar, located in Bushwick close to the Ridgewood, Queens border. This spot offers great views of the surrounding area as well as Midtown Manhattan to the west. And, if you care for plane spotting, you can follow the airliners on their approach to LaGuardia airport. While it may just be a seasonal spot, we look forward to returning here when the weather is warm again. Vacations Bar is located at 321 Starr Street.
We’ll share our favorite Manhattan bar opening of 2022 on Saturday.
Our favorite Queens bar opening of 2022
Our favorite 2022 bar opening in Queens was BierWax in Ridgewood. When we first learned of the Ridgewood location, we were very excited because the original BierWax location in Prospect Heights was our favorite Brooklyn bar opening of 2018. Sure enough, the Ridgewood location also offered great music and craftbeer. We look forward to returning there. Bierwax Ridgewood is located at 16-80 Madison Street.
We’ll share our favorite Brooklyn bar opening of 2022 on Friday.
2022 Year in review of NYC bar openings
Before we turn the calendar to 2023, over the next few days, we’re going to reveal a few of our favorite bar openings from 2022. We’ll share our favorite Queens bar opening of 2022 on Wednesday.
Merry Christmas!
Pub Crawl NYC wishes you a very Merry Christmas.
A brief review of Jeremy’s on Manhattan’s Upper East Side
Located at 1652 Second Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, Jeremy’s is a cocktail bar owned by the Shaller family of the famous Shaller & Webber German butcher shop on the same block. We found Jeremy’s a solid cocktail spot for the neighborhood. Because the space is rather small, reservations are recommended. Walk-ins are welcome, but walk-ins must expect to stand until seats become available. Definitely add Jeremy’s to your next UES NYC bar crawl.
Happy Hannukah!
Pub Crawl NYC wishes you a Happy Hannukah!
December 12 marks the 235th anniversary of Pennsylvania’s statehood
Our NYC Bar of the Day: Hibernia Bar, located at 401 West 50th Street in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen.
New Brooklyn bars to visit
It’s been a little while since our last Brooklyn NYC pub crawl. Over in Williamsburg and Greenpoint, we look forward to visiting Diane’s at 425 Graham Avenue and Bar Americano at 180 Franklin Street, among others. In or near Downtown Brooklyn, we have Sunken Harbor at 372 Fulton Street and The Hull Sports Bar at 66 Water Street on our radar. As always, after we’ve visited these spots, we’ll share our thoughts in this space.
