NYC pub crawling in Hells Kitchen
We recently had a couple of opportunities to bar crawl though Manhattan’s Hells Kitchen. We visited Decimo Restobar and Back Pocket Bar, among others. We’ll have brief thoughts on these two spots in forthcoming posts.

In back of the restaurant Local 92 in Manhattan’s East Village
is a small cocktail bar called Blue Quarter, located at 92 Second Avenue. There’s a door at the back of the main dining room that looks as though it may lead to a restroom, but that door opens into the small-ish bar area of Blue Quarter. House cocktails run $15/drink. Blue Quarter is worth a visit the next time you’re bar hopping in the East Village.

Vin Sur Vingt has opened a second location on Manhattan’s Upper West Side
This one located about as far west as you can go on the Upper West Side: 100 Riverside Blvd (between 64th and 65th Streets). The vast wine selection and friendly/knowledgeable staff make this spot a must-visit.
On your next visit to Union Square in Manhattan
Stop in at the recently-opened second location of Bar Bacon at 127 Fourth Avenue. A sports bar with a good beer selection that also offers different types of bacon as both appetizers and prominent features in their entrees.
