Located at 315 10^th Avenue in Manhattan’s Chelsea (and just a few blocks south of the Hudson Yards development), Death Ave is a Greek restaurant that also brews its own beer.  We had been waiting over two years for the home brews to start flowing!  Finally, on a recent afternoon NYC pub crawl along 10^th Avenue we stopped into the main restaurant (the recently-opened tap room is now also open for lunch on most days) for a few beers. Our samplings included the Kolsch and Pale Ale.  Death Ave also offered a few Belgian-style ales.  The braised lamb sandwich is outstanding!

It had been a while since we bar hopped along Avenue C in Manhattan’s Alphabet City, so we decided to spend a few hours doing a short bar crawl.  We visited Sanatorium, Loverboy and The Hairy Lemon, among others. We’ll share some brief thoughts on these establishments in forthcoming posts.  Stay tuned.
