It had been a while since we bar hopped along Avenue C in Manhattan’s Alphabet City, so we decided to spend a few hours doing a short bar crawl.  We visited Sanatorium, Loverboy and The Hairy Lemon, among others. We’ll share some brief thoughts on these establishments in forthcoming posts.  Stay tuned.

Because it marks the unofficial end of summer, Labor Day always brings a touch of sadness to us at Pub Crawl NYC.  Summer in NYC offers many opportunities of beautiful weather for NYC pub crawls and other city exploration.  September is still a good weather month in NYC and, if lucky, October can be as well.  But, those two months just aren’t quite the same as June, July and August.  Either way, we look forward to many more NYC bar crawls in the months ahead.  Happy Autumn!

It was 229 years ago on this date that New York State ratified the United States Constitution, becoming the 11th state to do so.  Therefore, July 26^th is a great day to drink some New York State beer and eat some New York State food.  We wish Union Square’s Little Town NYC were still around, but alas, that spot is no more.  So, we suggest a visit to Manhattan’s Local & Vine, located at 282 Hudson Street in West Soho.
