NYC Oktoberfest pub crawl on Saturday, September 17

Here’s a NYC bar crawl with an Octoberfest theme for Saturday, September 17.  Ulyssses is sponsoring their annual Octoberfest on Stone Street in Manhattan’s Financial District.  It’s an opportunity for some bar hopping along Stone Street and visit Ulysses and other nearby establishments, such as Vintry, The Growler and Adrienne’s.  Details in the announcement below (courtesy of Ulysses’ website):

At long last, the West Village's Chumley's to reopen for business

According to at least two sources (New York Times and DNAinfo), Chumley’s, located at 86 Bedford Street in Manhattan’s West Village, will finally reopen on September 6 after nearly a decade of closure following a wall collapse inside the space.  Chumley’s started business back in the 1920s as a true speakeasy during the Prohibition in the U.S.  We’ve visited Chumley’s on numerous NYC pub crawls over the years and are very happy to learn that it will re-open in just a few weeks.

Happy First Saturday of March!

Our favorite non-holiday random calendar day of the year! The arrival of the First Saturday of March is very meaningful to us at Pub Crawl NYC. Though the calendar still says winter, March marks the end of the super-cold, long, dark winter months of December, January and February.  Spring (and good pub crawling weather) is just ahead.

And, if you’re looking for a pub crawl for today, the annual Hoboken, NJ St. Patrick’s bar crawl takes place today.  More info here.
