Our NYC Bar of the Day: Fraunces Tavern, located at 54 Pearl Street in Manhattan’s Financial District.
Captain Lawrence has been brewing delicious craft beer since 2006. On a recent weekend, we finally had a chance to visit Captain Lawrence’s Elmsford, NY facility. As compared with most of the breweries we’ve visited around NYC’s five boroughs, Captain Lawrence’s space is enormous, holding two different tasting rooms and a sizeable space for brewing. The main (and larger) tasting room can hold close to 200 patrons, while the smaller one can hold around 100. There is also an outdoor patio for good-weather drinking.
The main tasting room offers nearly twenty draught beers as well as various bar food and pizzas. The space is kid-friendly and had live music during our visit. Overall, we had a great time at Captain Lawrence and look forward to a return visit. The Elmsford facility visiting hours and related info are here. A few photos below:
