Located at 237 West 35th Street in Manhattan’s Midtown West, Juniper is a spacious bar that specializes in gin and gin cocktails. Juniper offers ten tap beers (mix of standard and quality), including some local NYC draughts. The area is primarily taking up with long bar, along with a small dining area in back. This is a great spot for after-work drinks.

Happy First Saturday of March!
Our favorite non-holiday random calendar day of the year! The arrival of the First Saturday of March is very meaningful to us at Pub Crawl NYC. Though the calendar still says winter, March marks the end of the super-cold, long, dark winter months of December, January and February. Spring (and good pub crawling weather) is just ahead.
And if you’re looking for a pub crawl today, here’s one option across the Hudson River in Hoboken, NJ, sponsored by pubcrawls.com:

If you’re looking for a pub crawl in NYC this weekend, here’s a suggestion
Well, it’s not quite NYC, but it’s practically the sixth borough! The annual Hoboken, NJ St. Patrick’s celebration occurs on Saturday, March 7. The pub crawl is sponsored by pubcrawls.com. More info here: http://pubcrawls.com/events/hoboken/saint-paddys-celebration.php
Happy St. Patrick's Month!
It is here once again, our favorite month of the year! There will be numerous Irish NYC pub crawls around the city. We’ll provide info on some. If you would prefer to create your own pub crawl, we can help, free of charge! We just ask that you visit and “like” our facebook fanpage first, www.facebook.com/pubcrawlnyc and follow us on twitter (@nycpubcrawl). We’ve been to the overwhelming majority of bars across Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. And we’re happy to share our wealth of knowledge. Drop us a note on FB.
Nearing the end of NYC craft beer week
As we near the end of NYC Craft beer week, we want to share this Gothamist article: http://gothamist.com/2015/02/24/nyc_brewery_guide.php. It’s an informative summary of the new breweries that have opened in the last one or two years in the five boros of NYC. Now that gives us a good idea for a NYC bar crawl…
Eight beers you should stop drinking now
We recently came across an informative article discussing beer and beer ingredients at the following URL: http://earthweareone.com/8-beers-that-you-should-stop-drinking-immediately/
Our Thoughts:
Regular readers to this space know that we at Pub Crawl NYC are craft-beer fans. So, we rarely find ourselves drinking any of the eight beers mentioned in the article (with the exception of an occasional Guinness). Most of these mass-produced beers will contain adjuncts, such as rice or corn (which are cheaper ingredients than barley malt). Better to stick with beers made at smaller (and preferably local) breweries.
A review of Arrogant Swine in Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Located at 173 Morgan Avenue in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg, Arrogant Swine is a solid beer and Carolina BBQ spot. Arrogant Swine looks as though it’s in a former garage space. There’s a long bar area offering 20 quality tap beers, including a few local NYC beers. The BBQ kitchen is in the back. After ordering drinks at the bar, patrons can order food at the kitchen counter and return to sit in the bar area. Arrogant Swine’s staff brings your food to you. The only drawback to this spot is that it’s a 5-6 minute walk from the nearest L-train stop. However, we find Arrogant Swine well worth going out of your way for!
