For a Scottish NYC bar crawl, we recommend the following Manhattan pubs: Caledonia, at 1609 Second Avenue; St. Andrew’s, at 140 W. 46th Street; Shoolbred’s, at 197 Second Avenue. In Brooklyn, visit Isle of Skye at 488 Driggs Ave and Duke of Montrose at 47 5th Ave.

A brief review of No. 7 North in Brooklyn's Greenpoint
Located at 931 Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, No. 7 North is a cocktail bar close to the northern end of Greenpoint. No. 7 North offers house cocktails, wine and beer, along with a cool vibe. No. 7 North is open on weekday afternoons, which we find rare for this type of spot. We look forward to a return visit here on our next Greenpoint NYC bar crawl.
A review of Brooklyn Eats in Brooklyn's Clinton Hill
Located at 474 Myrtle Avenue in Brooklyn’s Clinton Hill, Brooklyn Eats, despite the name, is a bar. The main bar area is in front followed by seating area and then a room all the way in the back with a ping pong table. Brooklyn Eats offers two tap beers and 18 bottled beers. Full bar also available. Food is mostly standard bar food, at affordable prices (particularly the lunch specials). Be sure to include Brooklyn Eats on your next NYC pub crawl along Myrtle Avenue!
A review of Fifty Paces in Manhattan's East Village
Located at 413 East 12th Street in Manhattan’s East Village, Fifty Paces is wine bar offering 18 wines by bottle/glass, along with a small selection of beer (no hard alcohol). Same layout as Terroir (the wine bar that held this space previously). For food, Fifty Paces offers small plates and large plates; Cheese, charcuterie and several artisan chocolates also available. This is a great spot and we look forward to a return visit.

On this first day of Spring, our NYC Bar of the Day: Spring Lounge, located at 48 Spring Street in Manhattan’s Little Italy.
A review of Forrest Point in Brooklyn
Located at 970 Flushing Avenue on the Williamsburg/Bushwick border, Forrest Point represents another sign of gentrification in this section of Brooklyn. Forrest Point is a bar/restaurant (though we think more bar than restaurant), located in what feels like a former garage space. Forrest Point offers 7 tap beers and several house cocktails. Food menu is intriguing, with brunch offered during weekends. Outdoor seating is available in good weather for prime people watching along Flushing Avenue.
