Our thoughts on Labor Day 2021

Because it marks the unofficial end of summer, Labor Day always brings a bit of sadness to us at Pub Crawl NYC.  In non-pandemic years, summer in NYC offers many opportunities of beautiful weather for NYC pub crawls and other city exploration.  September is still a good weather month in NYC and, if lucky, October can be as well.  But, those two months just aren’t quite the same as June, July and August.  Either way, Delta-variant depending, we look forward to a few more NYC bar crawls in the months ahead.  Happy Autumn!

A review of Spaghetti Tavern on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Located at 425 Amsterdam Avenue in the old McAleer’s location on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, Spaghetti Tavern is basically a bar whose food menu focuses on several spaghetti dishes as well as Italian-influenced appetizers.  The feel of the spot is similar to the old McAleer’s – minus the Irish flag and a few other alterations.  Spaghetti Tavern offers outdoor seating and is great for people watching along Amsterdam Avenue while drinking the afternoon away.

A review of Coby Club in Manhattan’s Chelsea

Located at 156 7th Avenue below the restaurant Elmo in Manhattan’s Chelsea, Coby Club is a recently-opened cocktail lounge that evokes 1960s San Francisco Chinatown.  The décor here is spectacular and the drinks are tasty.  Coby Club opens for business Tuesday through Saturday at 6pm.  As of this writing, the spot is closed on Sundays and Mondays.  So, while this spot isn’t one to include on a Saturday afternoon NYC bar crawl through Chelsea, Coby Club is a must visit for your next cocktailing night out.  We look forward to returning here.
