Located at 70 West 36th street (just northeast of Herald Sq), McGettigan’s is a spacious, bi-level Irish pub. The layout and ambiance is like no other Irish nyc pub we’ve seen (and we’ve seen almost all of them!).  McGettigan’s is a family owned spot and has locations in Ireland and others around the world. This is their first US location. At least 8 flat screen TVs are mounted optimally around the space. Tap beers number 24 of mostly quality crafts. The bottled beer selection was fairly standard. Bar food can be best described as upscale bar/pub fare.  Check back later this week for Part 2 of our visit to McGettigan’s.
