Located at 24 East 39th Street on the Midtown/Murray Hill border, The Shakespeare is an English pub (basement level, low ceilings) that feels as though it’s been around forever. The Shakespeare attracts an after-work crowd, though it is open most days for lunch as well. Beer selection includes 18 taps, including three cask ales. We look forward to returning on our next NYC bar crawl through this part of town.
